Hailey padded contently about her territory, the undergrowth terrain was plentyful the prey, however, not so much. Hardly anything rusted in the undergrowth but a scrawny mouse or two. During the leaf-bare Hailey had managed to grow skinny, which she didn't really mind. It was her ribs showing that annoyed her, that was how bad leaf-bare was this year. Sighing softly she shook out her short, tan, pelt as sitting down under the shade of a bushy tree.

Grey eyes glittered in the dim lighting that was a Leaf-Bare day, a black and white pelt gleamed and rippled, hard muscles showing planely as the sleek tom cat slid silently through the undergrowth, the snow cold but not unbareable on his tough paw pads. In his mouth were six mice, seeing as the tom had stumbled upon a nest of mice. Inhaling deeply, Cartel caught one of his favorite scents. It belonged to Hailey. He didn't heasitate to quickly trot towards it in persuit of his mate, his ears flicking and swivling. He ended up comming up behind her, setting down the dead mice quietly, not making a sound, sneaking up behind her before jumpping on her, purring and quicky flipping her onto her back, pinning her down purring louder as her rasped his tongue across her neck before nuzzling it. A smile was on his maw, his grey eyes still glittering. "Hello beautiful." he purred, his voice having that slight rasp to it that made all the she cats swoon.

Hailey didn't have time to jump in spite of shock, Cartel already had her pinned and amused. She gave a fair giggle at his voice as she wiggled out from under the black and white tom before stretching out her skinny body, her tail curling in turn as she stretched. "What took you so long?" Purred Hailey as she settled for sitting back down and leaning against the handsome tom. "You weren't out letting any she-cat's take you from me, hmm?" She just loved teasing and toying with her Cartel.

Cartel smiled, letting Hailey wiggle out from under him. He eyed her thin frame when she stretched, frowning slightly because he could easily see her ribs, at least his weren't as noticeable. She could have four of the six mice he'd caught, she obviously needed it more then him. He started purring again when she leaned against him, curling his black and white tail around his mate. He slowly started to rasp his tongue over her fur, motioning to the mice. "I was hunting, love." he purred, the rasp still in his voice. He rolled her eyes at her teasing, licking her muzzle. "Of course not, I have the only she cat I need right here." he purred. It was true that Hailey was all he needed but Cartel was a notrious flirt. It was true, he had mated with other she cats while with Hailey, but more and more infrequently now adays. He didn't want kits with other she cats. He wanted kits with Hailey. Kits he could raise and watch grow up. Kits that would belong to him and Hailey.

Hailey just leaned against the tom and stared blankly at her paws. "Hunting..Of course," She murmured as she listened to the black and white tom speak his words. "I see you did rather well," She mewed brightening back up as licked the toms shoulder with a faint purr in her throat. "Where did a tom like you manage to find prey like that," She sighed at her teasing voice, she had to learn to trust him..Sure he had mated with other she-cats, which completely pissed her off, but..He was her mate and she loved him. "C'mon..Lets head back to the den, I'm not going to stay out hear all day," She purred with a softly giggle before she licked her mates cheek.

Cartel smiled a bit, nuzzling Hailey's neck softly. "I stumbled onto a whole nest of the little buggers." he explained, nipping her flank lightly in reprimand for her teasing tone. "Alright, alright. Can't stand a little cold, hm?" It was now his turn to tease, his grey eyes glittering. He stood, flicking her ears with his tail before walking over to grab the mice, his muscles rippling under his pelt, his black and white ears flicking and swivling in case he caught anything out of the ordinary. He nudged her lightly, smiling a bit. "Race ya." he purred before he took off, racing full sprint towards their den.

Sighing Hailey rolled her keen amber eyes before bounded after Cartel. It was no surprise to her when she made it make to the den last. Yawning she stretched out her body before padding into the den, flicking Cartel with her tail while she passed. Stretching she settled down into her nest before curling up in comfort, thankful for the warmth of the den.

Cartel's pranced around when he won, looking like a mousebrain and knowing it, but he knew it would amuse Hailey. He watched her with glittering eyes when she stretched and smiled innocently when she flicked him with her tail. He quickly followed her into the den, dropping four of the six mice at her paws. He set the other two in his nest as he dragged it over next to Hailey's so he could lay right next to her. "Eat, Hailey." he purred softly in her ear, nuzzling her neck before he quickly started eating his two mice.

"I'm not hungry, you go ahead," Insisted Hailey in response. "I'm fine for now, I'll eat later," Promised Hailey with a small smile as she nudged three of the nice over to Cartel before eating the one she had kept for herself just so it would make Cartel happy. She easily finished the mouse off before nuzzling up beside Cartel and roughly lapping her tongue against his cheek. They had always been like that, ever since they were kids with Carpathia cussing at them for being together every five seconds. A soft growl rose in her throat at the thought of her father..She knew he began hating her as soon as Cartel nearly got her pregnant. Clearing her throat she shoved the growl away and contented himself with lapping at Cartel's cheek in a harder streak surprised his fur wasn't scraped off.

Cartel frowned, pushing two of the mice back over to her. "You need to eat Hailey, hungry or not. You're skin and bones, love." he mewed sounding worried about her. She wasn't eating much latley, even when he brought something, like todays meal, where they could both have a fairly good meal. His grey eyes scanned her thin frame, not liking how easily he could see her bones. "Eat...please..." he mewed rubbing the side of his head against her neck before eating the last of his mice. He purred softly when he felt Hailey's tongue rasping over his cheek, liking the feeling. He blinked, hearing her growl, figuring she was thinking of Carpathia. They'd lived closer to the clans back then and Carpathia always talked about making his own clan, Bloodclan or something like that. Cartel actually liked the idea and Carpathia had liked him, until he found out about him and Hailey. He was a really protective father, although there were at least one other litter of kits that were definatly his, but he wanted nothing to do with them.
Sighing softly, he heard Hailey's growl die down, feeling her tongue rasping harder over his cheek, purring louder. He loved her more than words could discribe, more then he himself knew. He'd stepped up after they'd mated for the first time back when they were still with Carpathia, putting himself inbetween Carpathia and Hailey to prevent her from getting hurt, although he'd gained quite a few scars from that day...then again, so did Carpathia...

"He didn't deserve a daughter," Growled Hailey to herself as she continued licking Cartel's cheek. "Maybe if he had gotten a son along with me instead of my wuss of a sister he would have been happy!" She hissed her voice rising as was the fur along her neck. "He didn't deserve me! Neither did Lavender!" Hissed Hailey with her white teeth showing plainly once she paused to bare them in pure hatred. "I hope he went to hell!" Hissed Hailey as she unsheathed her claws and scratched at the cold den floor with them as they left rough marks imbedded in the stoney ground. Her ears flicked back in anger as she laid her head onto her paws and bared her fangs in annoyance. She would have been ruined had it not been for Cartel. She averted her gaze when her surroundings blurred but forced tears not to fall from her eyes. She never cried and had no intention to start now.

Cartel listened to yet another of Hailey's angered rants. They happened every so often, although less frequently nowadays but they still happened. It was fairly shocking to see just how much hate she held for her father, but he couldn't blame her. After everything, he would have hated Carpathia too, but he respected him too much. He wasn't exactally Carpathia's biggest fan but he'd been the only tom cat he could look up to for a long while. That had an impact on him.
He gently nuzzled Hailey's flank when she laid her head on her paws, starting to lick her neck. He found it was just best to agree with her during these times, and try to calm her down as well. "You're right they didn't deserve you. You didn't deserve to be treated so badly. But I sure am glad you aren't a guy, cause your sister doesn't even start to compare to you, Hailey." he purred in her ear, that rasp in his voice still there as he continued to lick her neck.

"Don't try to amuse me, it wont work," Growled Hailey in response though she knew it was a lie. She held up a paw and shoved him roughly as to show she didn't want to be messed with at the moment, Cartel knew better then to mess with her at those moments. With a low growl she averted her amber eyes and wrapped her sleek tail around her thin body. Sighing grimly she coldly blinked her amber eyes as she stared blankly at the den wall, eyes filled to the brim with hatred and anger towards her past. With a rough and shaky breath, after a few minutes, she turned to Cartel frowning. "I'm sorry," She sighed as she pressed her pelt back into his. She went back to licking the toms not accidently pushing her weight against him and knocking them against the floor with a thud. "Uhg, I'm such a cluts," Sighed Hailey with a soft giggle as she made no attempt to move. She was enjoying herself.

Cartel frowned when Hailey growled at him, but he didn't say another word. He stumbled back slightly when she shoved him roughly away, not making a move towards her, just sitting down where he was, his black and white tail curled over his paws. He watched her, waiting until her anger was gone. She looked like she was about to cry, which was quite shocking to Cartel, but he once again said nothing. He waited until she looked at him, locking his grey eyes with hers, listening to her apology, feeling her press her pelt against his. "Its alright, Hailey..." he mewed softly, licking her ears before feeling her licking his cheek again, purring softly.
Caught off guard when Hailey suddenly pushed all her weight against him, Cartel was indeed thrown to the ground, blinking and batting at Hailey playfully. "I've noticed..." he purred, his eyes glittering.

Hailey gave a loving purr at her mates playful bat. Smiling, in turn, she licked the toms muzzle with loving amber eyes. "I love you Cartel," She mewed out of innocence as she laid her head comfortably against his chest. Even though she did snap at him from time to time she loved the tom more then words could explain. He was her life.

Cartel purred a little louder when Hailey licked his muzzle, his grey eyes glittering happily as they always did whenever she told him that she loved him. "I love you too Hailey." he purred, the rasp still in his voice, never leaving it. He felt her head resting on his chest, sighing contentedly, purring softly still. This seemed like a good time to ask..."Hailey," he started, pausing but forcing himself to continue, "do you want kits?" he asked, waiting for her reaction.

They would have had kits had their first mating worked but..Then again Carpathia would have killed her, it sent a chill up her spine at the thought. "Of course Cartel," Replied Hailey smiling at the thought of such a thing. She lifted her head and softly licked her cheek with loving eyes, "Anything for you love, I wouldn't want to have anyone else's." Persisted Hailey as she laid her head back against the toms softly breathing chest. She split her jaws in a soft yawn as she stretched her body and nuzzled the tom lovingly.

A smile formed on Cartel's maw at Hailey's words. She wanted to have kits with him. If cats had wings, he was sure he'd be flying high right now. He felt her lick his cheek, nuzzling her neck before rasping his tongue over her muzzle. "Good..." he mewed, feeling her head resting back on his chest, hearing her yawn before she nuzzled him. She was tired, and Cartel could feel her bones as she rested against him. There was scarcely any prey out here where they were. He started thinking about the possibility of moving closer to where they had lived with Carpathia and Lavender. There was always more than enough prey there...but he didn't know how Hailey would react to that thought. Probably wouldn't be a good reaction at all.

Hailey nuzzled her mate as she gently lapped at her neck with soft amber eyes. Yawning she eventually let her mate up before snuggling up to him in his nest. "I love you Cartel," She murmured as she laid her head gently against his shoulder before falling into a light sleep.

Oh. Oh. See. Sure xD Be. Eye. See. Cartel blinked his eyes open, yawning as sunlight streamed into the den. He didn't even remember falling asleep but he obviously had. He started to get up before realizing Hailey's head was resting on his chest, purring softly when he saw her, curling his tail around her body, lovingly, licking inbetween her ears gently. "Hmm," Hailey wasn't as stubborn about waking up then she was when they were kits. "Oh..Sorry Cartel," She mewed softly as she lifted her head from the toms chest. Smiling gently she licked her mates muzzle as she moved enough to where the tom could get up. "I didn't notice I was stopping you from getting up," She mewed gently as she curled her tail around her skinny form. Sighing gently she split her jaws into a toothy layered yawn before mewing, "Where're you off to?" Normally by now Cartel was out of the den doing what he normally did in life.

Cartel smiled when Hailey licked his muzzle, waiting for her to move before he stood up. The muscular tom cat stretched, his claws digging into the moss of his nest before he straightened up. He heard Hailey's question, his tongue rasping inbetween her ears again. "Nothing to worry about. Just going to patrol the borders and hunt a bit. Care to join me, love?" he asked, looking at her with curious grey eyes.

Hailey gave a soft smile before mewing, "Of course," In a soft voice as she rose to her paws. Purring softly she slipped out of the den and almost quickly Nicolae's scent hit her..She didn't like him but Cartel so she tried to be cheerful. "Speak of the devil," Grumbled Hailey as she stepped back towards the den.
"Take a chill pill, Hailey," Snorted Nicolae as he pounced from a tree. He knew good and well Hailey hated him but that didn't stop him from annoying her half to death. "I see you went on a diet for once," He sneered. Cartel was going to kill him for that one.
Hailey scoffed in annoyance as she fur along her spine rose in annoyance.

Cartel smiled, following Hailey with a purr rumbling in his throat. That is, until he saw Nicolae and heard his words. Hissing, he moved to stand beside Hailey, frowning at Nicolae. "Shut your muzzle, Nicolae before I shut it for you." he hissed, not happy with that comment. He knew Hailey was was to thin, but she wouldn't eat anything! It was like she was trying to give him extra food he didn't need. "What do you want?" he asked, forcing most of the annoyance out of his voice, actually wanting to know why he'd showed up. As always, Nicolae reeked of the in heat scents of random she cats, his actual scent burried for the most part.

Hailey growled lowly, "C'mon Cartel..Let's just get out of here," Mumbled Hailey in annoyance as she began to stalk off into the undergrowth only to stop in step to turn and glare at her mate. That look obviously said, 'You Better Follow or Else.'
Nicolae cocked in eyebrow up, "C'mon Cartel, I was joking.. I wouldn't be mean to this little girl," Snickered Nicolae as he slid up to Hailey and teasingly flicked her with his tail. "Don't touch me!" Growled Hailey as she lashed out at Nicolae, leaving a pair of neaat claw marks on his cheek. "You better be lucky you're Cartels girl," Growled Nicolae lowly as he wiped some of the blood from his cheek. "You better be lucky you're alive," Mocked Hailey as she stalked into the undergrowth.
Nicolae rolled his eyes before mewing, "C'mon Bro, I found this she-cat over my Viperclan's territory, I say we scare her half to death," He sneered once Hailey was out of sight.

Cartel frowned, watching Hailey and Nicolae. Hailey couldn't stand Nicolae and Nicolae liked to push Hailey's buttons. A bad combo, considering Nicolae was like his best friend. He watched Hailey dissapear into the undergrowth, about to follow his beloved mate before Nicolae's words registered in his brain. He paused. The offer intrigued him...but Hailey..."Not today Nicolae. I told Hailey I'd go hunting with her. Go find Facebook or take her on yourself..." he mewed, glancing back to where Hailey had gone. Would he have gone some other time? Maybe. He wasn't really into the whole rape thing. He was more of a charmer.

Nicolae gave a sigh as he wiped more of the blood away from his cheek, "Damned she-cat," He mumbled to himself. "Alright..Facebook just ain't as fun," He sighed as he rose to his paws and shook out his brown tabby pelt. "Catch up with me later, we'll go kill some clanners," Replied Nicolae as he slipped into the undergrowth with cold eyes.

Cartel nodded slightly. "Will do." he mewed, watching his friend leave before bounding quickly after Hailey, not wanting her to be mad for making her wait for him. He nuzzled her neck when he found her, pressing his pelt into hers, purring softly. "Sorry, Nicolae wanted me to scare some clanners with him." he mewed.

Cartel looked down slightly, sighing at Hailey's words. "No, nothing in particular besides spend the day with my lovely mate." he mewed, hoping to get her out of this pissed off mood, licking her muzzle.
