"Gingerroot?" Called Pokerpaw softly as she padded into the medicine cats den with calm green eyes. "I'm sorry..I know I'm later. I was visiting with my mother and father." She mewed softly as she padded into the den.

The ginger tabby poked her head out of her den. "Oh it's fine Pokerpaw." she purred and came the rest of the way out. Gingerroot shook the dead leaf scraps from her long fur before touching her nose to her apprentices. "How is your mother?" tilts her head off to the side.

"Adoptive mother and father." Corrected Poekrpaw calmly. "She's fine Ma'am. My fear for them had grown however since I've heard green-cough is going around." She mewed gently.

She smiled. "Don't you worry about them Pokerpaw." Gingerroot touched her tail to the younger cats shoulder reassuriongly. "One little sniffle from any of them and we'll be there checking it out." She nodded before going into her herb storage and sifting through their stock. "Hmmm ... We could use more catmint." mews, just loud enough for Pokerpaw to hear.

"I could help you get it, Ma'am." Pokerpaw mewed in her eager and polite little voice, his tail tip twitching in faint excitement.

Gingerroot flicked her bright blue gaze to her apprentice and nodded. "If you don't want to wait for me, please take a warrior with you." she mewed gently before turning back to the herb storage. "Tansy ... good. Marigold ... Could use a few more leaves."

Pokerpaw smiled softly, her tail curling over his paws once she sat down. "I'll wait- I don't mind." She mewed with a smile.

The ginger furred she-cat flicked her ears and went through the rest of her store, sweeping the dried leaves out with her tail. "So we need tansy, catmint, feverfew, borage and marigold if we can find any." She turned to Pokerpaw and smiled. "Help me remember those and we won't have to go herb hunting for a moon." purrs lightly and leads the way into the main part of camp.

Pokerpaw giggled in amusement, bounding after Gingerroot with a smile. "That's easy- I can remember all of that." She chimed in, trotting beside her mentor with her head held high.

She purred and nudged Pokerpaw gently on her shoulder. "Don't get too big-headed now." mews, her bright blue eyes sparkling in amusement as she followed the younger she-cat through the entrance tunnel.

Pokerpaw smiled at her mentor, letting out a soft giggle as she walked along- Finally making it out of camp. She smiled, taking in a deep and relieved breathe of air.. Glad to be out of camp for once. She had never fancied being cooped up for to long.

Gingerroot padded calmly into the undergrowth. "We can usually find feverfew by the river where the twoleg bridge crosses over it." tells her apprentice, veering towards the bridge.

Pokerpaw nodded, "I think I scented some a little earleir in my training of being a medicine cat." She complimented as she strolled after Gingerroot.
